During World War Two, Coleshill House was the home of the British Resistance - Winston Churchill's secret auxiliary units - a secret network of volunteer men and women prepared to be Britain's last ditch of defence during the war.
July 2010 saw the 70th anniversary of the auxilliary units and The Halfpenny Brewery and Old Forge commemorated this with a special ale - Auxilier.
